What is a Wedding Crasher drag act?
Our Wedding Crasher is a surprise 15-minute drag performance designed especially for wedding receptions and evening celebrations.
The performer makes a surprise entrance and performs the “It Should Have Been Me” style act, creating a memorable and hilarious moment for the newlyweds and guests.
How long does the Wedding Crasher performance last?
The standard Wedding Crasher performance lasts approximately 15 minutes.
This is designed as a short, high-impact surprise rather than a full-length drag show.
How does the Wedding Crasher surprise work?
The performer will coordinate the finer details with your nominated contact before the wedding.
This can include:
• Arrival time
• Where to park
• Where to enter the venue
• Where to change or wait
• The exact performance time
• Who to contact on arrival
• How the surprise entrance will happen
It is important that we have the contact details of someone who can help coordinate the surprise without giving it away.
When will our Wedding Crasher contact us?
The performer will normally contact you or your nominated contact approximately 5–7 days before the wedding to confirm the finer details.
Please make sure the contact number supplied with your booking is correct.
Can the drag performer arrive without the bride or groom seeing them?
That is the plan!
Wedding Crashers are asked to arrive as discreetly as reasonably possible and coordinate with your nominated contact regarding parking, entrance, changing and waiting arrangements.
If your venue has a particular staff entrance or private access point, please let us know.
What happens during a drag show?
Every drag performer has their own personality and performance style, but shows may include:
• Comedy
• Lip-sync
• Live vocals
• Cabaret
• Audience interaction
• Dancing
• Games
• Party participation
• Cheeky humour
The exact content will depend on the entertainer and package booked.
What is the difference between a Drag Show and Drag Hosting?
A Drag Show is primarily a performance, usually involving cabaret, comedy, music, lip-sync, vocals and audience interaction.
Drag Hosting & Mingling is more relaxed. Your performer can greet guests, mingle, entertain, pose for photographs, make announcements and bring personality and humour to your event.
Hosting is particularly popular for weddings, receptions, parties and corporate events.
What is Drag Bingo?
Drag Bingo combines drag entertainment with hosted bingo, comedy, games, prizes and audience interaction.
Our 3-hour package is designed as a full evening of entertainment rather than simply traditional bingo with a caller.
Expect plenty of personality, laughs and crowd participation.
Do we need to provide the bingo prizes?
Prize arrangements can vary depending on the booking.
If prizes need to be supplied by you, this will be explained when your entertainment is confirmed.
If you have particular prizes or a theme in mind, let us know when booking.
Can I choose my drag performer?
You are welcome to browse our drag entertainer gallery and request performers you particularly like.
Once your booking is secured, we check genuine availability for your specific date, time and location.
We will always do our best to match your preferences, but individual performers cannot be guaranteed until their availability has been confirmed.
Are all of your drag performers shown on the website?
No.
We work with additional entertainers who may not currently have a public profile on our website.
This means we may have suitable available performers for your event beyond those shown in our gallery.
What happens after I pay the deposit?
Once your booking is secured, we begin checking suitable entertainer availability for your date, time, location and package.
Where entertainer selection forms part of your booking, we can then provide suitable available options for you to consider.
This means we are showing you entertainers who are genuinely available rather than simply displaying promotional photographs with no availability check.
What if only one drag performer is available?
Availability depends on your location, date, time, package and how much notice you give us.
Occasionally only one suitable performer may be available, particularly for rural locations, popular dates or short-notice bookings.
If only one entertainer is available and you are unhappy with the option offered, please let us know within 48 hours of our update in accordance with our booking terms.
What if I don't like the entertainers offered?
If we provide two or more suitable and available entertainers and you decide not to proceed with any of them, this is treated as a customer cancellation and our normal cancellation terms apply.
We therefore recommend telling us about any important preferences when you book.
Can I request a particular style of drag performer?
Absolutely.
You can let us know if you are looking for a particular personality or performance style, such as:
• Comedy
• Glamorous
• Camp and outrageous
• Cabaret
• Live singing
• Lip-sync
• Cheeky and risqué
• More family-friendly
• High-energy party entertainment
We will do our best to find someone suitable, subject to availability.
Can I request a specific song?
Yes, you can request particular music or songs.
Whether a specific song can be incorporated will depend on the performer and the package booked, so please tell us as early as possible if it is particularly important.
Can the performer personalise the show?
Often, yes.
Names, occasions, funny stories or information about the guest of honour may sometimes be incorporated into the performance.
Please provide anything you would like the performer to know in advance rather than surprising them with it on arrival.
Can we book drag entertainment for a hen party?
Yes.
Drag performers are extremely popular for hen parties and can provide anything from a short surprise performance to a full drag show, hosting or Drag Bingo.
Can we book a drag performer for a birthday?
Yes.
Drag entertainment works brilliantly for milestone birthdays and other celebrations.
Let us know the age, occasion and type of atmosphere you are looking for when booking.
Can we book drag entertainment for a wedding?
Yes.
You can book our 15-minute Wedding Crasher, a longer drag show or Drag Hosting & Mingling for your reception or evening celebration.
Can we book drag entertainment for a corporate event?
Yes.
Drag Hosting & Mingling and suitable drag shows can work particularly well for corporate events, launches, Christmas parties and celebrations.
Please tell us if the entertainment needs to remain suitable for a corporate or mixed audience so we can brief the performer appropriately.
Are drag performances suitable for children?
Drag entertainment itself is not automatically adult entertainment.
Some performers and packages can be suitable for mixed-age or family audiences, while others may include adult humour or more risqué content.
If children or under-18s will be present, you must tell us when booking so the entertainer can be appropriately briefed.
Any performance specifically booked as adult entertainment must be restricted to guests aged 18 or over.
Can we ask for a family-friendly drag show?
Yes, subject to entertainer availability.
Please tell us clearly when booking that children or younger guests will be present and that you require family-friendly content.
How cheeky are the shows?
That depends on the event and the entertainer.
Drag can range from completely family-friendly through to cheeky adult comedy.
Tell us what sort of atmosphere you want when booking so we can match the performance appropriately.
Will the performer pick on people in the audience?
Audience interaction is often part of drag entertainment, but it should remain fun and appropriate.
Guests who clearly do not want to participate should not be forced to do so.
If there is someone you particularly want involved — or someone who definitely should not be involved — let the performer know beforehand.
Do we need permission from the venue?
Yes, you should check that your venue permits the type of entertainment you have booked.
This is particularly important for hotels, bars, restaurants, holiday accommodation, function rooms and wedding venues.
You should also check any restrictions relating to music, PA systems, performance areas or finishing times.
Does the performer bring their own PA system and microphone?
This depends on the entertainer and package.
For bookings where the performer is providing their own PA system and microphone, this will form part of their confirmed booking arrangements.
Some venues already have suitable sound equipment available.
Please tell us what equipment your venue provides when booking if you know.
Does the performer need somewhere to change?
Yes, where possible.
Please provide a clean, private area where the entertainer can change, prepare and safely store their belongings.
A private room is preferable, although another suitable private space may sometimes be used.
Does the performer need somewhere to wait before a Wedding Crasher performance?
Yes.
Because the Wedding Crasher is a surprise, it is particularly important that the performer has somewhere discreet to change and wait without being seen by the intended recipient or guests.
Please discuss this with your venue beforehand.
Do we need to provide parking?
Suitable parking should be available reasonably close to the venue.
Please tell the performer about parking restrictions, permits, access codes or difficult venue access before the event.
If only paid parking is available, additional parking costs may need to be reimbursed where applicable.
Can a drag performer perform in a hotel?
Usually, yes, but hotel policies vary.
You should always check with the hotel beforehand and confirm that outside entertainment is permitted.
Can we book a drag performer for an Airbnb or holiday cottage?
Possibly, but you must check the property's rules first.
Some accommodation providers restrict parties, entertainment or visitors who are not listed on the booking.
It is the customer's responsibility to obtain any required permission.
Can drag performers work in pubs, clubs and social clubs?
Yes, provided the venue permits the entertainment and there is a suitable performance area.
Drag shows, bingo and hosting can work particularly well in pubs, clubs, social clubs and function rooms.
How much space does a drag performer need?
This depends on the performance.
A Wedding Crasher or hosting booking requires relatively little performance space, while longer cabaret shows or Drag Bingo may require more room for equipment and audience interaction.
Please let us know if your venue has particularly limited space.
Can the performer use the venue's PA system?
Potentially, yes.
If you intend for the performer to use venue equipment, please confirm this with both the venue and Epic Moments UK beforehand.
The performer needs to know what equipment will be available before arriving.
Can we take photographs with the drag performer?
Usually, yes, and many performers are very happy to pose for photographs.
Please always ask the entertainer's permission before taking or publishing photographs or video.
Can we film the drag show?
Please ask the entertainer first.
Permission to take photographs does not automatically mean permission to record or publish the entire performance.
Can we add extra time on the night?
Possibly.
If the entertainer is available and agrees to stay longer, additional time may be arranged for an extra charge.
This cannot be guaranteed as they may have another booking afterwards.
Can we change the performance time after booking?
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change the time.
Changes are subject to entertainer availability.
A performer may have other bookings on the same day, so we cannot guarantee that a confirmed time can later be moved.
Can we change the venue after booking?
Possibly, but you must tell us before changing the venue.
A different location may affect travel time, costs and entertainer availability.
Significant venue changes may result in additional travel charges or require a different entertainer.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes.
An £80 booking deposit is required to secure your booking and begin the entertainer sourcing and booking process.
The remaining balance is separate and will be shown on your booking confirmation.
Is the £80 deposit refundable?
If you cancel more than 28 days before your event and we have not yet begun sourcing entertainers or carrying out substantial work on your booking, your deposit may be refundable.
The deposit becomes non-refundable if your event is 28 days or less away or once entertainer sourcing has begun and suitable options have been provided.
Some drag bookings require sourcing to begin considerably earlier because of the amount of planning involved.
Please see our full Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy for complete details.
What are the cancellation charges?
In addition to any non-refundable deposit:
• More than 7 days before the event – no additional entertainer cancellation payment is normally due
• 3–7 days before the event – 50% of the booked service price is payable
• 2 days or less before the event – 100% of the booked service price is payable
These charges reflect the fact that entertainers reserve the date and time for your booking and may have turned down other paid work.
Please read our full Cancellation Policy before booking.
When do I pay the remaining balance?
Unless otherwise agreed, the remaining balance is paid directly to the entertainer in cash on arrival.
The exact amount and payment arrangement will be shown on your booking confirmation.
Can I pay the full amount online?
This may vary depending on the booking.
If an online payment arrangement is available, we can confirm this with you.
Otherwise, the £80 deposit is paid when booking and the remaining entertainer balance is normally paid directly to the performer.
What happens if our drag performer becomes unavailable?
Occasionally an entertainer may become unavailable because of illness, emergency, transport problems or another unforeseen circumstance.
If this happens, Epic Moments UK will make reasonable efforts to find suitable replacement cover.
Where possible, we will inform you of the replacement before the event.
What if Epic Moments UK cannot provide a performer?
If we are ultimately unable to provide any suitable entertainer for the agreed service and you do not accept an alternative arrangement, your deposit will be refunded in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
What if the drag performer is late?
Traffic, previous bookings and unexpected travel disruption can occasionally cause delays.
If the entertainer arrives late and is available afterwards, they should make reasonable efforts to provide the full agreed performance time.
If this is not possible, the circumstances will be considered and an appropriate solution may be agreed.
What happens if our group or event is running late?
If your event is not ready at the agreed performance time, the entertainer may not be able to extend the booking beyond the original finish time.
They may have another event to attend afterwards.
The full agreed fee remains payable where the entertainer was present and ready to perform at the confirmed time.
What happens if a guest behaves badly towards the performer?
Our entertainers have the right to work in a safe and respectful environment.
They may stop the performance or leave if they experience threatening, aggressive, abusive, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate or unsafe behaviour.
Where a booking is ended because of serious guest misconduct, no refund will normally be due and the full fee may remain payable.
Can we book at short notice?
Yes, sometimes.
Short-notice drag bookings are subject to entertainer availability.
If your event is particularly soon, we recommend contacting Epic Moments UK so we can advise on likely availability.
Do you cover the whole UK?
Yes.
Epic Moments UK can provide drag entertainment across the UK.
Availability is naturally greater in some areas than others, and rural or remote locations may require additional travel costs.
Will rural locations cost more?
Possibly.
If the nearest suitable performer needs to travel a considerable distance, an additional travel charge may apply.
We will let you know about additional travel costs before confirming the entertainer.
Can I contact you before booking?
Of course.
If you are unsure whether you need a Wedding Crasher, Drag Show, Drag Bingo or Hosting package, or you have unusual venue or performance requirements, please contact Epic Moments UK before booking.
We can help you work out which option is most suitable.
Where can I see your drag performers?
You can browse our Drag Entertainer Gallery on the Epic Moments UK website.
Please remember that not every entertainer we work with is publicly displayed online and gallery inclusion does not guarantee availability for a particular date.
Where can I read the full booking terms?
You can read our full Drag Entertainment Terms & Conditions, including our deposit, cancellation, entertainer sourcing, payment, venue, safety and booking policies on our dedicated Terms & Conditions page.
